Estimate basal metabolic rate

BMR is a rough estimate of the calories your body uses at rest. This page uses the Mifflin-St Jeor formula from age, sex, height, and weight.

Enter age in years. Height can be centimeters, meters, feet and inches, or inches. Weight can be kilograms, pounds, or stone. Mix units if that is how you know your numbers.

It is a starting point, not a lab measurement. Muscle mass and health conditions can move the real number. For daily calories including activity, open the Calorie Calculator next.
